In other news, there's a story about a clerk who fatally shoots a robber (http://www.wkrn.com/story/16161311/clerk-fatally-shoots-robbery-suspect-claims-self-defense), and the inevitable bias and comments follow: The guy had an extensive record, pulled a knife, and jumped the counter, but we aren't sure it was REALLY self defense.
"I know this young man!! I wish you did too! Your opinion would be changed in a matter of minutes... He was a very nice young man looking for his way in life. Took custody of 2 siblings at the age of 21.. Don't say anything if you don't know what you are talking about. They don't tell you that or the wonderful things he did for others."
I'm sorry. I don't care who you are, or how good you were to others, everyone knows that robbing others and threatening others with a knife is BAD.
Therefore, if you're going to do BAD things to me, then you're going to get shot.
It's simple.
Unfortunately, they keep saying "Oh, you've never made a mistake?"
Yeah, one time I accidentally went into a store, pulled a gun, and robbed them. Whoops!
What happened to good common sense and the knowledge between what's good and what's bad?
