The weather has been really nice the past couple of days, so we've got the windows open and enjoying the fresh air.  I've got my tank top on, and I've been enjoying some Walt Disney World Resort background music playing over our sound system.  It's been very nice and relaxing.  Music is sometimes helpful to focus on when you have trouble focusing thoughts, but make sure that if you are meditating with music, it's instrumental and softly playing in the background, because you don't want it to distract or overpower your thoughts.  At least, this is true for me.   “The active listening to music evokes such raw positive emotions likely in part due to the release of endorphins, part of that mind-heart connection that we yearn to learn so much more about.  Needless to say, these results were music to my ears because they signal another preventive strategy that we may incorporate in our daily lives to promote heart health.” To quote Dr. Michael Miller, director of preventive cardiology at the University of Maryland Medical Center.  So go ahead, put on some happy, joyful music, and get healthy!
