Today's meditation was a challenge.  I attribute it to so much going on and a lack of sleep.  It became an exercise of focus.  I focused on my breathing, thinking "Here" on the inhale and "Now" on the exhale.  I learned this technique from my sensei.  My mind just wouldn't stay focused enough to relax into a deeper meditation.  An hour meditation trying to focus my breathing is a good start for the first day.
