Well, I did it. I joined http://www.fitday.com/ to start a diet journal. I know a lot of people struggle with self-image and worry about dieting and eating habits. Mine is more health related than vain concerns. Of course, I'm not saying that I don't worry about my looks - I most certainly do. My weight has gotten to the point when it's starting to affect my health, and right now that is my main concern. I feel justified with my reasons for going on a diet. My husband and I will be biking more on the weekends, which will help. My training will get better. There are so many benefits to watching what I eat and getting out and doing more. My husband has a head start because he rides his bike to work, but soon I will be able to keep up.
The hardest part about any diet is the motivation to keep going once you start. I have plenty of motivation to start, but keeping it going is where most people struggle, myself included. Luckily my husband is doing this with me and we can motivate each other to keep going.
By the way, Happy Earth Day!
